10%
They say we only use 10% of our brains
Holy smokes
Just increasing 1%- Revolution
Shedding the shackles of our own doing
Wahoo- WHAT A DAY
That delicious taste of the
VAST UNLEASHED INTELLIGENCE WE POSSESS.
Holy shish ka bob
Gimme a pen
Gimme a lectern podium
Gimme a lump of clay
Gimme the world
I'm Hungry for a Change around Here
I'm hungry for LIFE
I just gained another 1%!
End of Winter
I hunger for the sound of water
All gurgly, swooshy. tinkly, fiercely. drippy -
you name it
Release winter's grip
Relax, give in
Don't be so rigid and cold.
Be like a wild puppy
Loll around, drool some, ooze, pea, spit up - be
UNDIGNIFIED!
Don't be so cold and uptight.
Yes, I long for the sound of water
Frozen in all ten thousand lakes with it's, how
many millions of closed in,
guarded, protected humans, locked behind doors,
all buttoned up
dried and parched
Woe - live a little -
Fling off those reserves
and turtlenecks and itchy wool sox.
Put on a swim suit
Who cares if pubic hairs shows, ladies
Who cares if those love handles show. misters
Flail yourselves into the melting waters - BRRR
but HMMMMM
You are as young and supple as you feel inside
Who cares about those stiff, creaky bones
Lie on a rock, listen to the drip, drip, drip and
realize it is the one and
only life you have
Don't waste it by giving into winter's icy grip
Your heart is too generous and gushy for that!
I Now Remember
Caw Caw Caw
quietly in the sun filled room of Mary's house.
Cold, cold, cold outside - February
snow every where
And still they speak
And unbeknownst to them, they speak for
me too
They speak of Nature, Nature, Nature
of Rawness, Rawness, Rawness
of Me, Me, Me
sitting here, here, here
in this tree, tree, tree
muted we are - not they
CAW CAW CAW, right in the center, center,
center
of all that is important
yes, yes, yes
And trees do exist Caw Caw Caw
and the air is crisp and cold
But the sun warms my black, black feathers - mmmm
yes, yes, yes
And to me they say,
"You're off track, off track, off track
come back, come back, come back
To here and now, here and now, to here and
now
You willy, nilly self absorbed
Holier then thou humanoid"
And I say,
"Thank you, thank you, thank you"
I now remember
That you feed me, natural world
That because of you I exist
And because of you, raucous crows and
squirrels and oak trees and rushing
waters and slow, murky waters and rain and
pounding waves
I remember, I, a mere speck of life, in a sea
of humanoids, live on a
ball teeming with life, that is far more subtle,
sublime and wondrous then I
could ever hope to be.
